With reference to your cypher telegram of the

16th November I have already in my confidential despatches of the 4th and 16th November reported on the action taken by the Government with regard to enemy subjecte and firms in the Colony, and I shall address you again on the same subject shortly.

The peace of the Colony remains undisturbed, but trade is still extremely dull.
